When I 'take' a photograph of a piece of architecture that I’m drawn to, I can already feel the material that I want to print that moment of light onto. Structures made of glass often call for a pearl or glossy sheen whilst frosted windows or concrete brutalist architecture seem to demand a deep matte or linen finish. This is my way of honouring the legacy of the artists who have enabled me to visually express myself. Every image I take carries with it a degree of gratitude which I've yet to find the words for - so I hope these do for now.
